Using Plastic worms in Bass Fishing

There are a countless varieties of worms available on the market (both live bait and artificial) today. The technique of learning and mastering the hooking of such baits is a necessity for any aspiring Bass anglers.

When you go for bass fishing, you should accord importance to securing the bait and ensure that you thread the bait properly. While threading, leave majority of the bait?s body on the hook and hook it both at the top and at the bottom so as to ensure that the bait doesn?t fly loose as you cast it out into the water.

Bass tend to take a sample of its bite first, and hence leaving a greater portion of the bait on the hook will enable the Bass to have a second hit, which may be utilised in your favour. Depending upon your selection of Bass, you can use worms as baits in combination with other baits/lures and alluring techniques such as top-water and/or hard-bait surface disturbers. If deemed fit, you can use eels, frogs or other species as ?feeding prey? - here the key is ?preference?.

You can plan your strategy in such a way that you end up giving the Bass enough variety eventually ending up with a big haul of bigger Bass!
